so, what's it all about?

October half term on the Isle of Wight is going to be quite literally ‘murder’ for young people (ages 10-17), who are set to turn detective in an innovative Murder Mystery event.

VIPs will turn into RIP’s, as scriptwriters prepare murders “most horrid” for carefully selected characters. The gruesome acts will take place in and around the eastern seaside towns of the Isle of Wight between Tuesday October 28th and Friday October 31st.

The event is hosted by MADCAP (Making a Difference Community Action Partners), a partnership of local organisations including representatives from Hampshire Constabulary, many IW Council departments, private and voluntary organisations as well as Rainer and the Community Rail Partnership.

Each day will start with a group presentation including a daily newspaper (which may provide clues), a lunch break (remember to bring sandwiches!) and many activities. Working in teams, you will compete in tasks, games and challenges, and the results of these determine an over all winner.  The day will also be interrupted by at least two murders

Good luck detective!
